Cutting discs are bought when the last one is finished, usually mid-job and usually urgently. For a hardware shop the commercial point is availability rather than range: a customer who has to go elsewhere for a disc frequently buys the rest of that job's materials there too.

At retail in August 2026 a 4" (105 mm) diamond disc runs from RM5 for unbranded stock to RM50 for a known brand, with the mainstream branded band at RM14–RM37. Price tracks segment height and bond far more than it tracks the label: a cheap disc that glazes on the second cut costs more per metre than a dearer one that finishes the job.
